THE mystery surrounding the disappearance of a 57ft. canal barge has been solved.
Workers from British Waterways had been searching high and low along the Leeds and Liverpool Canal for "Go With The Flow" and their efforts were rewarded when they uncovered the narrow boat hidden close to the Trafalgar pub in Burnley.

It was found almost two-and-a-half miles away from its original siting at Knotts Bridge Moorings close to Hapton at 2 p.m. on Thursday where it was found close to trees in a meander of the canal.

Though the thieves had tried painting the mid-blue barge white, nothing else seemed to have been damaged or stolen. The boat was tied up next to a towpath just a couple of hundred yards from a craning site. However, nobody was found on the boat.
