BURNLEY biker Helen Gaskell shone at the recent final of the National Points Series.
The event, which is considered the UK's premier Downhill Mountain Bike Championships, saw the 25-year-old take top spot in the Elite Womens Series.

Helen, who rides for Team Halfords Bikehut, has been riding professionally with the team for over five years.

And it was her drive, determination, and cross-country know how that proved a winning combination during the five gruelling races, as she emerged victorious with 224 points.

Mountain bike professionals, enthusiasts, and supporters were out in force at the event in the Scottish town of Innerleithen, and Gaskell didn't disappoint as she used her smooth riding style to good effect.
