Clitheroe all set to rock to the Beats Cancer festival
The festival headliner this year is Eddie Halliwell. Eddie has been electrifying dance floors all over the world for the last decade and he continues to headline events all over the world, most recently opening this years Cream at Amnesia, Ibiza.
He is one of the most loved and respected headline DJs on the scene and on Saturday he is coming to Clitheroe Castle along with Bontan, Paul Taylor Retro, Davos, Endor, Rock Fms Mark Freejack and much more. Organisers Duncan Dickins, Sara Rushton, Nick Kennerley and Robert Valinakis are all local DJs who have been committed to raising funds for Cancer Research UK. Duncan said: “We support Cancer Research UK simply because everybody knows someone who has been touched by this horrible disease and we want to help make a difference to thousands of lives.

Hide AdPoignantly the third Beats Cancer Music Festival will be held in memory of Mick Creighton, one of the local business owners who had supported the event. Mr Creighton who owned Dove Syke Cider, died recently.
The event is funded entirely through sponsorship from local businesses. It takes place at the Castle Bandstand and grounds between noon and 10pm. There will be licensed bars, hot and cold food stalls, children’s entertainment and more. This year it is a limited ticket event for all ages at £12.50 each.
