Meat cleaver attack in Padiham house
A man was taken to hospital after being attacked with a meat cleaver in a house in Padiham.
Police were called to the house in Hapton Street at 3-30pm on Tuesday by the ambulance service who then took the victim to the Royal Blackburn Hospital with head injuries.
A police spokesman said a man had entered a house in the street and attacked another man with a meat cleaver.
A 33-year-old man from Padiham was later arrested on suspicion of assault. He remains in police custody.
