Padiham teen caught drink driving
Burnley magistrates were told how Bobby Maher, who didn't have a licence or insurance, was stopped by police at about 1am. He blew 42 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.
The 18-year -old, who had no previous convictions, had driven from a friend's house nearby.

Hide AdHis solicitor, Miss Cathryn Fell said Maher wanted to join the Army and was due to attend the selection process.
Miss Fell added: "Both he and his dad are worried what this conviction will do to his chances of going in the Army."
The defendant, of Rydal Close, Padiham, admitted driving with excess alcohol on Trafalgar Street, Burnley, on July, 7th, no insurance and no licence.
He was fined £150, with £85 costs and a £30 victim surcharge and was banned for 12 months.
