Generosity really knows no bounds
WOW! That’s the only reaction you can have to news that the Pendle Pub Walk is set to raise more than £50,000 for Pendleside Hospice.
Just take a step back and think about it for a moment.
Around 1,000 walkers, mainly from this area, gave up a Saturday to sample our stunning countryside, and a few beers, to raise badly-needed funds for our hospice which, by and large, pretty much has to fund itself.
I have my own thoughts on that issue, but for now am more than content to say a big ‘well done’ to the Rotary Club of Burnley Pendleside, hospice and walkers for raising such a magnificent total.
