Famous figure from Burnley and Pendle history is mascot for schoolgirl's award winning poster
Chloe's Pendle witch mascot has been selected as the design to represent all schools in Pendle in the Spar Lancashire School Games which are due to take place at the end of June.
A year five pupil at Holy Trinity RC Primary School in Brierfield, Chloe's entry was among dozens submitted by students across the borough after all schools were contacted by Fiona Callaghan, who is the school games organiser for Pendle.

Chloe fulfilled the brief and her mascot, which she gave a modern twist by adding a medal, a netball and also a football, will be used on banners and posters advertising the games which draw on the magic of the Olympics to enable every school and child, including those with special needs, to participate in competitive sport.
Deputy headteacher Mrs Carole Carlile said: "I am delighted and so proud of Chloe's achievement and would also like to thank teaching assistant, Mrs Sarah Travis who completed most of the work with the year five children while I was concentrating on helping year six students during the SATS."
Chloe, who also included Pendle Hill in her design, won a £15 Amazon Voucher which she has put towards a fitness tracker watch.
