Hide AdForest are one of 11 teams who have been shortlisted for the Team of the Year award, due to their outstanding success this year, as they won North Hockey Women’s League Division 2 North West for a third-successive season, again with a 100% record.
Forest’s first team have won all 22 league games, scoring 132 goals and conceding only 15.
They had eight of the top 13 scorers in the league, with Lisa Crewe top of the list with 37, with Karen Wignall and Charlotte Hartley adding 17 each.
They are currently top of the play-off league table having beaten Boston Spa 5-1 in their opening game two weeks ago.
Tomorrow they face Deeside Ramblers away in a noon start.
A win for Forest would put them within touching distance of promotion after two years of heartache.
